St Mary's Hospital provides comprehensive paediatric and adult musculoskeletal services, and in particular elective and non-elective orthopaedic surgery. The surgical service is supported by a physician-led model of care which links and interfaces with both health and social services.
Emergency service
>On-site consultant in orthopaedic trauma from 08.00 to 20.00 with dedicated residential team of SpR and SHO 24 hours

>Consultant physician-led rehabilitation of trauma patients The emergency department (A&E) at St Mary's Hospital provides high quality emergency care 24 hours a day.
Occupational Therapists (OTs) work within multidisciplinary teams providing specialist assessment and rehabilitation of function. They are integral to timely discharge planning and facilitate a supported return home.
At St Mary's Hospital, OTs work with adults and children and also in specialist teams: A&E; medical assessment unit; medicine; trauma and orthopaedics; surgery; medicine of the elderly; neurology; stroke and paediatric services.
