As a University Hospital, the Trust trains over one third of the medical students from the University of East Anglia and has a strong national reputation for research and excellence in the quality of our training facilities.
Our A&E treats more than 60,000 patients a year.
Our A&E nurses and doctors operate a See and Treat service for patients with more minor problems and we aim to treat patients as quickly as we possibly can.
Within the A&E department we treat patients with life-threatening problems in the Resuscitation area (we call it Resus).
Children are cared for in our brand new separate treatment and waiting area.
A&E patients may also need to be seen by our Radiology team for x-rays or MRI and CT scans and patients with broken bones are treated in our plaster room.
The Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Department at the James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a constantly evolving and forward looking department. It aims to deliver the best quality patient care, develop effective working relationships, both within and outside the Trust, and to ensure that the unique and valuable contribution therapists can make to health care is broadcast far and wide.
